When my website designer asked me to give him information about myself I began to feel somewhat uncomfortable and rather undecided about where to start. Before I became interested in astrology and tarot I would probably have been quite prepared to write ‘about me’, but it now seems, when I look deeper within myself for answers, that I now prefer to pay more attention to other people and their spirituality and how I can help them on their individual pathway. I do understand, of course, that if I am going to be given the opportunity to help you, then I must give you some background to reassure you of my integrity and experience.
During most of my career I worked in UK as an Architect in a private practice and eventually became a full partner with a staff of from 15 to 50, much depending on the state of the building industry. I found this most rewarding but was very fortunate to be able to retire quite early and begin to dedicate myself to metaphysical matters – namely, astrology.
In the early stages of my training I was again extremely lucky to have a personal teacher for a period who was a well known astrologer in the south of England and, because I was retired from my profession, I was able to concentrate almost fully on this very complex and fascinating interest. My wife and I decided to move to Spain for a period and here I worked on learning (one NEVER stops with this subject!) and preparing and interpreting astrological charts - birth charts or horoscopes for a wide variety of clients, many of whom were from other countries and cultures.
It is interesting to keep in mind that wherever you were born, be it United Kingdom, , United States, Spain, France, Portugal or those even those most distant parts of the world like Australia and New Zealand, China and India, the process for creating an astrological birth chart is the same.
After returning to UK for a while we made the decision to move to Western Australia where we lived for 6 years. This proved to be a very metaphysical orientated area and we both quickly began our work (my wife is a psychic) and I expanded my astrological experience further through attending many weekend seminars in Perth which were given by authors of books I had been reading for many years and was therefore a most enlightening time for me.
I began teaching astrology in small groups from my home and that went on for four years or so with some of my students spending two years with me as we worked through a broad spectrum of all the complexities. I also became involved in giving talks to people on the subject and made many friends, some of who were Tarot card readers and thus I began being hooked again when I truly found that I could expand my inspiration and wealth of information through this other metaphysical medium.
Since my wife and I returned to UK we have both continued to expand our awareness of how full one’s life can be once you understand who you are and why you are here again.
